GRINGOTTS BANK

THE BRIEF
As the final project for my first year in college I was allowed to create a miniature model of a doorway from film or TV.

I decided to recreate a miniature of the famous Gringotts Bank from the "Harry Potter" franchise.

The materials are a combination of MDF, styrene, acrylic, card and urethane resin castings.

It took two months to make and finish the model.
CONSTRUCTION
MDF was used to construct the steps, side walls and front piece of the doorway.

Styrene was then used for the door, the balcony pieces and window frame.

Smaller details were added such as brick work, balcony edges and resin casted trimmings and pillars

The doorway was primed, then spray painted an off white base coat before being weathered by hand. Some smaller details were added such as railings, windows and interior detailing.
